CR Builders has an established record of strategically using diverse financing sources, from conventional debt and equity to private activity bonds, low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC), HOME Funds, National Housing Trust Fund (HTF) dollars, CDBG funds, and financing products from HUD and USDA Rural Development.

Working alongside our partners, we have brought to realization 25 pioneering housing developments, representing 1,079 units and an investment of nearly $250 million in total development costs as we maintain a commitment to redefining living spaces and shaping communities that endure.

Marina Cay Estates

Bigfork, MT

Located at 600 Grand Drive, Bigfork, MT, this 22-unit luxury condominium complex was designed and built as an expansion of the full-service Marina Cay Resort property on the shores of Flathead Lake. This unique development offers both ownership and rental options either on the waterfront or at poolside. Opened in 2007.

A 2-story L-shaped building that offers 37 affordable apartments to senior citizens. Located at the corner of 12th Avenue NE and 5th Street NE in Jamestown, ND, this property is designed to provide a more social and interactive environment, featuring a TV lounge, fitness center, card room and spacious community room with coffee bar and full kitchen. Opened in July of 2007.

Gateway Vista

Billings, MT

Sponsored by the YWCA of Billings, this 24-unit multifamily community is located at 909 Wyoming Avenue in Billings, MT. The project is designed specifically to provide safe, affordable housing to its clientele, primarily single mothers and women in distress; Gateway Vista also provides numerous wrap-around services to help residents get back on their feet and break away from the cycle of violence and poverty. CR Builders was the lead developer and worked closely with YWCA Billings to make this unique project a success. The project opened in the summer of 2018.

This newly built senior housing community is located at 3300 Sparks Road in Cheyenne, WY. This 56-unit affordable property is dedicated to serving the community’s senior resident population. Designed to foster social interaction amongst the residents, this popular community opened in October of 2021 and leased up in less than 90 days.

This affordable 35-unit senior community, located at 2724 Hawken Street in Bismarck, ND, is adjacent to the Sierra Court project, a 40-unit senior property. CR Builders was the lead developer, arranged financing and managed all construction activities as the project was being built. The property opened in the fall of 2020.

This senior living retirement community is located at 5250 West Dove Centre Road, Marana, AZ. The property offers a total of 142 units, with the finest in Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.

Scheduled opening and lease-up activity began in the summer of 2021.

Expert Guidance through Tax Credit Bureaucracy

Every year the 'U.S. Department of the Treasury' allocates millions of dollars in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) to each state. Applying for and receiving an allocation of credits can be long, difficult, and competitive. CR Builders has a team that not only works alongside their partners to acquire these credits, but also puts them to use building quality, dignified, and affordable housing for those who need it most.
